Barrister Fees
The cost of work generally depends upon the type of work and/or nature of the case. Both hourly rates and fixed fees can be agreed during the course of a case or piece of work. However, we almost exclusively find that clients prefer a fixed fee.
We are well aware that as with many things, transparency in relation to fees is absolutely key and during the free initial consultation William will be happy to discuss the likely initial fees and ongoing charging rates with you on a confidential and no-obligation basis. However, as already stated, as a barrister, his hourly rates are often considerably lower than those which a solicitor of similar number of years experience would charge. Our goal is always to be reasonable such that all parties are happy to proceed. In short, we simply aim to be fair.
The cost of legal services is clearly often a worry to lay clients and it is in this area that William is known to be fair and reasonable.
In short, as a self-employed barrister, William's aim is to pass onto you these lower overheads resulting in:
Reasonable Fees
Direct, accountable and accessible service
Fees which tend to be fixed in advance
Flexibility of pricing
All of which means that as a professional or lay client, you experience
a position of knowledge and safety in relation to the cost of the legal service, whilst receiving bespoke expert representation and advice.
